PRET – Electrical Engineering
MISSION STATEMENT
The bachelor degree program aims at providing a strong foundation in theoretical, practical and design aspects of Electrical engineering. The curriculum covers all areas of Electrical engineering under the broad categories of computer control of industrial processes, power electronics, design of electrical machines, design of electronic systems; computer aided design and applied industrial automation
OBJECTIVES
The student outcomes for the program are:
- An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering
- An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
- An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability
- An ability to function on multidisciplinary teams
- An ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems
- An understanding of and ethical responsibility
- An ability to communicate effectively
- The broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal context
- A recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning
- An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice
PROFILE OF STUDENTS
Candidates aspiring to under-take training for the award of the Bachelor Degree in Executive Secretarial Studies should be holders of the Higher National Diploma (HND) or BTS in Secretarial Studies or any other recognised equivalent certificate like DIPET I.
Fees
Fees per academic year three hundred and fifty thousand francs (350 000Fcfa)
CAREERS
Upon completion of the training, graduates can aspire for the following responsibilities and job opportunities in both the Private Sector businesses and Not-for-Profit organizations:
- Maintenance engineer;
- Electrical machine controller;
- Technician in AES SONEL;
- Consultant;
- Designer of electrical systems;
- Designer of electronic systems;

The language of instruction is English.

Course work: 90 credits
