PRET – Environmental Technology
MISSION STATEMENT
The Bachelor of Technology programme in Environmental Technology at the Higher Technical Teachers’ Training College (HTTTC) of the University of Buea in Kumba is committed to the training of students in the field of Environmental Technology. The programme is embarked on the training of knowledgeable experts in Environmental issues, capable of working either in the public or private sector. The syllabus provides relevant answers to development oriented questions raised in higher education in particular and the country in general. They shall therefore be able to:
- Engage in critical thinking and provide feasible solutions Environmental problems in an array of industries.
- Rapidly adapt to the changing and challenging environment;
- Analyse knowledge from different sources
Admission requirements
For entry, candidate should possess any of the following qualifications:
- DIPET I in Civil Engineering or Woodwork
- HND in Civil Engineering
- BTS in a related field
- DUT in the Biological Sciences, Forestry, Environmental science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology
Fees
Fees per academic year three hundred and fifty thousand francs (350 000Fcfa)
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
For the award of Bachelor of Technology (option ETN), students must complete university course requirements, core courses, complementary courses and courses amounting to at least 60 credits.
LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION
The language of instruction is as defined by the decree creating and organizing University of Buea

Two (02) Semesters (One year)
Course Requirements: 60 Credits
Course work: 48 credits
Internship: 04 credits
Dissertation: 08 credits
