ABOUT PRET
PRET is a professional program run by the Higher Technical Teachers’ Training College (ENSET) Kumba of The University of Buea. This program aims at promoting professionalization and enhancing self-employment and entrepreneurship in individuals and the society.
PRET is made up of four main programs:
The HND & HPD Certificate Training programs which prepare students in different disciplines of the Higher National Diploma (HND) and Higher Professional Diploma (HPD) certificate examinations organised by the Ministry of Higher Education.
The Professional Bachelors (B. Prof) Training Programs which train students in varying fields of study towards the obtention of a Professional Bachelor’s (B. Prof) Degree awarded by The University of Buea.
The Professional Masters (M. Prof) Training Programs which train students under the Postgraduate School of the University of Buea, in varying fields of study towards the obtention of a Professional Masters (M. Prof) Degree awarded by the University of Buea.
Doctorate (Ph.D) which train students in varying fields of study towards the obtention of a Doctor of Philosophy Degree awarded by the University of Buea.
Mission
To train and prepare students for the Higher National Diploma (HND) and the Higher Professional Diploma (HPD) examinations.
To offer training to students towards the award of Professional Degrees (B. Prof, M. Prof, Ph.D).
To promote professionalization in Cameroonian citizens so as to meet the demands of industries and enhance self-employment and entrepreneurship.
To accompany the State in its policy to promote the education of its citizens in technical/professional disciplines at relatively affordable costs.
