Mission Statement
The Department of Agriculture seeks to train agriculturalists to become teachers and trainers of modern technical and vocational agriculture at secondary educational level and beyond. It uses teaching, observation, practice, internship and incubation to impart theoretical, technical, practical and field training in agriculture and pedagogy of teaching to enable students to acquire the relevant knowledge, skills and attitude to become a technical teacher in the discipline. Attention is paid on enabling students teachers of agriculture develop entrepreneurial capacity in creating technical vocations in production, preservation and transformation of crops and animals, education of farmers in modern agricultural innovations, horticulture and related business. Graduates with DIPET II would be able to channel students of secondary education to further their studies in agriculture or create agriculture related enterprises/employment or serve in agricultural or related industries.
Objective of Degree Programme
The Professional Bachelors in agriculture seeks to provide learners with professional skills and knowledge in the different specialties in Agriculture. In view of attaining the country’s vision 2035, sustainable food production, including value addition is essential. This can only be possible with available skills – in production, processing, branding and packaging, and in conceiving appropriate agribusinesses. The training combines theoretical knowledge in the specialties with in-depth practical skills, internships and projects to provide holistic learning.

Fees per academic year three hundred and fifty thousand francs (350 000Fcfa)
